Bennett proposed to Emilee in a dream-come-true setting: against the beautiful backdrop of sunny Villa Del Balbianello in Lake Como. Creating a beautiful, picture-perfect memory to cherish for a lifetime.
“We went on a trip to Europe together to visit Florence, Lake Como and South of France. Part of me thought the time might be a great opportunity for a proposal, but as time went on I forgot about the chance of a ring and was just really enjoying my time at the stunning placed we were visiting.
We had gone to Villa Del Balbianello on a gorgeously sunny day, and wanted to get a photo in one of their iconic spots. After a few shots, he was suddenly down on one knee and that’s about all I can remember before I heard clapping from those around us. The day still lives in my head so vividly. My favourite day.”
The couple’s special day was bright, intimate and romantic. The most important thing being that their loved ones who had come to share the moment with them had an enjoyable time celebrating.
“We had a small wedding of about 60 people located at a small old stunning Inn in St.Mary’s Ontario. It was an early September wedding and I wanted to have it be lively and exciting for those who came to celebrate us. We opted for abstract colourful florals and a mix of colours for the bridesmaids dresses. These colours included greens, pinks, orange, yellow and coral. I wanted everyone to feel their most confident, so they chose a colour and then chose a dress they felt best in, and it could not have been more perfect. The groomsmen were in a tan and my now husband in a darker brown suit so he could have his stand out moment too. The day was perfect in every way and the weather offered us so much sunshine despite the forecast calling for rain.”
The sun seems to always be shining on these two, a beautiful reminder of the bright future ahead for them.
Emilee recalls her favourite memory of the big day as a moment of peace at their reception, taking it all in.
“My favourite moment from the day was sitting in the reception, watching all of those around us interact with one and other and seeing nothing but happiness. It just makes me grateful everyday that my husband and I have created a circle so close and loving that has our backs through anything.“
A perfect moment at the end of a perfect day. And such a beautiful reminder that your wedding will always be about you and your love. But getting to share it with those who have always wanted every happiness for you is what makes every wedding day all the more special.
Emilee fell in love with Greer the moment she tried the gown on. Later, learning another sentimental reason to love it from her mother.
I had never seen it before and didn’t know if it was going to be the one for me until I tried it on and instantly started crying, alongside my family. The dress was perfect in every way.”

“I had gone to a boutique with an idea in mind of the style in which I would feel best in on our special day. The girls working at the boutique saw my preferences and brought in the Greer gown. I had never seen it before and didn’t know if it was going to be the one for me until I tried it on and instantly started crying, alongside my family. The dress was perfect in every way. After leaving the boutique, my mother pulled me aside and made mention of how her wedding dress was such a similar pattern, but didn’t want to say anything inside to skew my view. It was as if it was fate or something and if felt even more special.”
