While cruising the Amalfi Coast on a warm summer afternoon, Ogi and Bec found themselves caught in a storm — and battling some serious seasickness. As they made their way back towards Positano, Ogi sat beside Bec and surprised her with a ring box. In the middle of the storm, he asked her to marry him, and the answer was an easy “yes”.
Back on shore, they found a beachfront restaurant serving little more than water and hot chips and quietly celebrated in their own love bubble before sharing the news.
Their intimate beach wedding at Coral Sea Resort in Airlie Beach brought together around 40 of their closest family and friends, in the very place where they first met. Set against the Coral Sea, the contemporary celebration featured soft white florals, natural greenery, candlelight and touches of vibrant bougainvillea.
Bec wore the Wells gown with delicate lace gloves and a cathedral veil, while Ogi’s classic black tuxedo created a striking contrast against the white sand and blue horizon. The ceremony and reception unfolded beneath palm trees and lanterns, with a long banquet table stretching along the shoreline.
Among the most memorable moments were exchanging their vows, heartfelt speeches and a lively dance floor, where Ogi’s family tradition, the kolo, brought everyone together in celebration. It was an intimate, joyful day that felt completely their own.
I found my wedding dress at the beautiful Luv Bridal store in Fortitude Valley. The dress I chose was the last one I tried on. It brought together everything I had been trying to describe in a way I hadn’t expected, but immediately felt right. It was effortlessly romantic and softly structured. Wells was everything I didn’t know I was looking for, until I found it.
Try on Wells and celebrate the beauty of pure love today!
